Had a pretty good experience. Very close to the center of town, cozy room, and kind staff. The only unfortunate thing is that the water pressure in the bathroom is pretty low- that the flushing the toilet, and having a decent shower was a bit difficult (it was just a trickle!). Given the situation of the building it could not be helped- but if planning to stay here I would keep it in mind. Shower somewhere else in advance.

The Mitre Hotel is my go to swag pad in all of Manchester. Cheap and very cheerful the staff there always have a smile on their face and will help you out with whatever you need, and the rooms are very comfortable. They seemed to have fixed the 'gag mag' issue that i encountered last time. 5 stars

Fab hotel I had room 30 on the 3rd floor. This 200 year old building has narrow high staircases so if you cant do stairs its not for you but I was up for the challenge!.I was in a cosy single room with options of a fan or plug in heater the room was clean and cosy.Mini tea/coffee station an iron/board and hangers to put my clothes. A lovley throw and pillow on the bed and a tv .I was at a show at the coop arena (Mcfly vs Busted) and unfortunatly when I got back I was going to have a bath but there was no plug in the bath. The lovley syaff at reception hunted but couldnt retrieve one my only gripe. so I had a shower. My bed was cosy and my room was lovley thank you for the wonderfull stay! Its right next to the Arndale and tram spot and 15 mins away from the train station.I will deffinatly stay again!

Amazing location as right in the centre with access to everything, room appeared really crisp and clean until we touched a few surfaces eg bedside table and in the bathroom especially handles and they were sticky/gooey. We didn't touch much after that. The bed was lovely and comfy with fresh clean sheets. The service was great from the staff although when we went to breakfast the guy behind the bar tried to charge me for filter coffee and had to be told by one of the other staff that we had paid for our breakfast already so there was no charge. If you are going for your breakfast please keep in mind that you can get filter coffee at the bar and dont need to do the instant stuff. We loved being there and although there was live music and loads of football match noise from the other pubs, once you were in your room you hardly heard it. One other thing was loads of stairs so if you have a disability that way then you will have a challenge to get up all the stairs. Had an amazing time away with family.

Directly opposite Manchester Cathedral, you can't miss it. The room we stayed in was very spacious, especially the bathroom, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The only niggle with the room was the shower; getting the temperature right meant standing outside, which meant the floor got wet. Other than that minor thing, the room was perfect for us. We went down for breakfast in the morning and the service was fast, staff very polite and the food was really good! Honestly, I'd come here just for the breakfast! Thanks guys!

Great rooms, amazing view, great location, great reception staff/ hotel staff; patient & kind. Good value for money. Not so great bar staff: slow & cocktails were disgusting, bar toilet was gross & hotel bathroom was a little dirty. T.V is small & only one chair in a room for 3 - kettle was placed on a shelf high up, a bit high to careful make coffee/ tea. Pillows were a bit dirty, a lot of stains under the pillow cases. I love the age & wonky-ness of the building, so if you stay here be careful on the stairs with luggage. It was a cute building, historical & convenient. Would stay again - overall amazing stay! Just remember the church bells go off a while morning & evening on Sundays.

All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Huge shout out to Liam who assisted us with surprising the birthday girl. The room (family room top floor) itself was clean, it did lack electric sockets but that’s to be expected in a listed building and I echo the previous review regarding the steep stairs which caused much amusement when we returned after our night out!
